the only proof i could find online of my summer of 1999
during the summer of 1999, i participated in a national science foundation sponsored research
experience for undergraduates, where i worked on computer generated holograms.
i really did... you have to believe me...
i have searched and searched the internet trying to find proof that this actually occurred and
was not one of my deluded fantasies. which, is when i stumbled across this...

Undergraduates Present Research Results. During the summer of 1999,
several Computer Science Faculty collaborated on research projects with
undergraduates at DePauw University. The results of several of these
projects were recently presented by the undergraduates at the Tenth Annual
Argonne Undergraduate Research Symposium held at Argonne National
Laboratory in November, 1999. A presentation on "Computer Generated
Holography" was given by Jack Mansfield and Anne Yancey (Professor Doug
Harms was their advisor). Mary King and Kelli Wilson made a presentation
on "SIM IV: A User-Defined Computer Architecture Simulator" (Professor
Carl Singer was their advisor). Finally, a presentation on "Grouping and
Selection Methods for Heterogeneous Objects" was given by Mike Roberts and
John Stanford (their advisor was Professor Dave Berque.). All research was
conducted at DePauw during the summer of 1998 with funding from a National
Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates Grant.
